About Leaderly Consultants

Throughout our decades long-careers, we have seen countless well-meaning, highly competent clinical experts assume leadership roles without the preparation to be successful.

We can help.

Leadership is an intentional practice – with an evidence base and best practices – that can be taught and learned.

JoAnne Reifsnyder

PhD, MBA, RN, FAAN

JoAnne shifted her clinical practice to home hospice in the early 1980’s, beginning a career-long commitment to serious illness care. She has held numerous organizational and board leadership positions with a focus on palliative and end of life care. She developed one of the first palliative care minor concentrations at the University of Pennsylvania, and currently develops leaders through nursing and interprofessional graduate programs at the University of Maryland.

Dr. Reifsnyder has that rare combination of clinical expertise, deep and broad content knowledge, a keen understanding of the importance of leadership, and demonstrated experience and success  supporting and mentoring the nursing workforce and other professionals across settings. She has a unique blend of persistent optimism, problem-solving ability, and a dedication to vulnerable older adults, direct care workers, and others throughout all of her work.
